Write an essay about a particularly memorable aspect of your life as a student, whether it be positive, negative, or mixed. You might focus on a single event, a series of events over years, or perhaps an entire school year. As you relate your story, try to give your personal experience meaning for your readers. 4. Select one of the following ideas–or any ideas they suggest–and develop a narrative essay: a. Gaining independence b. A friend’s generosity or sacrifice c. A significant journey (whether physical or psychological) d. A natural disaster you experienced e. A special event f. A time when a poem, song, story, film, or other work changed your perspective g. Acquiring and repaying a debt (whether financial or psychological) h. A time when you confronted authority i. When you had to deliver bad news j. Your biggest social blunder k. A time you met someone who became special to you
