-)I chose to discuss Starbucks, Starbucks business strategy can be classified as product differentiation. The coffee chain giant focuses on the quality of its products and customers pay premium prices for high quality. There are a few things that Starbucks offers their customers that makes having coffee more appealing. Most people consider Starbucks as a home away from home. Customers are welcome to come and get work done. Starbucks offers a relaxed environment where people can come alone or with friends.
-) Starbuck’s business strategy can be classified as product differentiation. The coffee chain focuses on the quality of its products and customers pay premium prices for high quality. Excellent customer service is one of the sources of their competitive advantage in the industry.
2-)Make recommendations for improving Starbucks ‘ strategy?
-)Some internal recommendations that I feel would make this brand better is increasing the length of time that brand new baristas spend in training. At the present time, they only offer 21-25 hours of training. Another recommendation is to make time for coffee education including coffee seminars including customers. I think Starbucks should also start using secret shoppers, secret shoppers offer real-time feedback. These things need to happen for Starbucks to grow as a company and garner new customers.
