Task:
B. Complete the “Literature Review” section of your curriculum proposal by doing the following:
1. Submit a literature review summary table using 10 peer-reviewed, scholarly resources from the nursing, education, or change theory literature and attach the table to your proposal as an appendix.
2. Describe the curriculum gap or need you observed, including potential causes, within the context of an established nursing, education, or change theory.
3. Summarize the findings of the scholarly resources you
reviewed in part B1 and how they support your specific course proposal.
Thanks! I hope this all makes sense. I have attached the literature review table along with the directions for the lit review and strength of evidence table. Please try and use Level 1 and 2 for level of evidence.
The review of the literature provides an analysis of the current knowledge and available literature to support your scholarly curriculum proposal. Begin by identifying the search terms you will use for your literature search. For example, identify synonyms and alternative terms for your course name.
You will use evidence from research to support each phase of the ADDIE process. Use the Literature Review Summary Table to document your findings from scholarly peer-reviewed sources published within the last ten years. The purpose of your review is to evaluate the credibility of the top 10 sources relevant to the purpose of your proposal using the criteria indicated in the Literature Review Summary Table.
When developing the Literature Review Summary Table you should identify the areas where there is a consensus among the various authors. The findings, positions, and recommendations included should be consistent with the recommendations you are planning for your capstone project. As you review and organize the evidence you have collected in the Literature Review Summary Table, appraise its credibility and applicability to your proposal, as well as the strength of the evidence. It should demonstrate several of the following key elements for critically appraising each of the evidence sources:
· The resource information is useful and relevant to your specific proposal.
· The study was well designed and soundly conducted.
· The conclusions reported are based on findings that are clearly presented.
· The findings are useful to your project.
· The strength of the evidence is easily identified in the source.
Strength of Evidence and Evidence Hierarchy
Use the Strength of Evidence and Evidence Hierarchy table to identify the top 10 scholarly sources. The sources and articles should be current and relevant to your topic and be from peer-reviewed journals published within the last 10 years. You may also include evidence that is published in professional nursing or other health-related scholarly websites. The sources should also include a critique of the evidence and evaluate it for best practices in a curriculum change, quality improvement, or innovation proposal. A thorough review of the literature is vital to obtaining support for a scholarly curriculum proposal.
