the target firm faces significant challenges, and these challenges are created or influenced
in large part by the Chinese context (either market or non-market).
The report should include:
Analysis of competitive landscape (including domestic and foreign firms) in
the relevant industry
Current trends and characteristics in the industry
Hurdles and obstacles facing the target firm
Strategy recommendation for the target firm
The intent of this report is to use the case of China, and all that you learned during the China
module, to integrate concepts and knowledge that you have acquired in the EMBA
programme. What will be the advantages/disadvantages of domestic firms in this sector?
What will be the advantages/disadvantages of foreign firms in this sector? You are free to
use information from any source, but be careful to provide full citations. Data should be
presented in a clear, coherent and complete analysis.
