Study the crime script methodology in Chiu’s article “

” (2011) or the by Sahramäki et al. (2017) and conduct your own script analysis of one of the following crimes:

• trafficking of children (for forced labor; force begging; trafficking through adoptions);
• trafficking for forced marriage;
• production and distribution of new psychoactive substances;
• production and distribution of child pornography/child abuse material;
• trafficking in waste/garbage (e-waste; toxic waste);
• production and distribution of counterfeit alcohol or foods (e.g., counterfeit milk or meat);
• production and distribution of counterfeit cigarettes or luxury goods (e.g., brand bags, watches, perfumes, etc.);
• trafficking and trade in counterfeit medicines (e.g., erectile dysfunction drugs, anabolic steroids, slimming drugs, etc.);
• trafficking in any species of flora and/or fauna (e.g. cacti; bugs; caviar, abalone, etc.);
• trafficking in metals/minerals (e.g., sand, gold, diamonds, etc.);
• trafficking in artifacts/cultural property;
• specific type of money laundering (e.g., trade-based ML; precious metals-based ML, informal value transfer systems, ML involving cryptocurrency, etc.).

Should you want to work on a different crime type, please ask for instructor’s permission. Feel free to write your poster on the same topic as your blog post. 

The outcome of your research should be an original crime script analysis of a crime based on cases/evidence you can find in the literature. Secondary crime script analyses will not be accepted. 

In terms of geographical focus, you can choose any part of the world. Feel free to study the crime of your choice locally, regionally or internationally. 

For this assignment it is allowed to use mass media sources, though court cases should be given preference. Please check SHERLOC Case Law Database:  . It may be quite useful for this assignment. Each poster must contain at least 6 cases of the crime of your choice.

Please submit your crime script analysis as a research poster. To make formatting easier, it is suggested that you use Powerpoint to prepare your poster and save it as a .pdf. Here are two templates you may use (
