Week 15 Learning Objectives

Critically reflect on personal and professional growth throughout the semester.
Articulate how the foundational knowledge gained will inform their transition into professional nursing practice.
Develop an e-portfolio artifact that demonstrates achievement of course learning outcomes.
Prepare mentally and academically for success in subsequent nursing courses and clinical practice.

As we conclude NUR3000 – Foundations of Professional Nursing, take time to reflect on your journey from the first week of the course to now.In your initial post (minimum 300–350 words), address the following:Describe one significant way your understanding of professional nursing has changed or deepened since the beginning of this course. Reference at least one specific concept, reading, assignment, or discussion from Weeks 1–14 that contributed to this growth.
Which course topic or assignment had the greatest impact on your developing professional nursing identity, and why?
Identify two key skills or competencies (e.g., ethical reasoning, evidence-based practice, cultural humility, leadership, or clinical judgment) you feel more confident in after completing this course.
Looking forward: What is one area you still want to strengthen as you move into future nursing courses and clinical practice, and what is your plan for continued growth?
Support your reflection with at least one scholarly source from the course materials. Use APA 7th edition for citations and references.Response Requirements:

2. Final Course Synthesis Reflection & e-Portfolio Submission
Due: Sunday, 11:59 PM (End of Week 15)
Points: 35 points Assignment Instructions:Submit a comprehensive Final Reflection Paper and upload one key artifact to your e-portfolio (if your program uses one).
Part 1: Final Reflection Paper
Length: 3–4 pages (900–1200 words), double-spaced, APA 7th edition format (title page and reference page required).Required Structure (use these headings):Overview of Growth (1 page) Summarize your overall experience in NUR3000.
Discuss how the course has shaped your view of what it means to be a baccalaureate-prepared professional nurse.
Synthesis of Key Course Concepts (1–1.5 pages) Select and integrate three major themes from the course (examples: professional identity formation, the nursing process/clinical judgment, evidence-based practice, ethics/legal responsibilities, cultural humility and health equity, leadership/advocacy, patient safety/quality improvement, or contemporary issues).
Explain how these themes interconnect and support one another in professional nursing practice.
Preparation for the Future (1 page) Describe how the knowledge and skills gained in this course will help you succeed in upcoming clinical courses and as a new graduate nurse.
Identify two specific goals you have for the remainder of the BSN program.
State your personal commitment to upholding the values of the nursing profession.
Part 2: e-Portfolio Artifact (required submission) Choose one assignment from the semester that best demonstrates your growth (e.g., Personal Philosophy Paper from Week 14, Cultural Self-Awareness Paper, or Leadership Reflection).
Write a short paragraph (150–200 words) explaining why you selected this artifact and how it shows achievement of at least two course learning outcomes.
Upload both the original assignment and the explanatory paragraph to the designated e-portfolio dropbox (or combine them in one document if no separate portfolio system is used).
Requirements: Minimum of three scholarly sources from course materials.
Demonstrate clear synthesis rather than simple summarization.
