The purpose of this discussion is to introduce the foundational concepts of nursing theory and knowledge development. You will begin to articulate why nursing theory is essential for advanced practice and reflect on the historical and philosophical influences that have shaped the discipline of nursing.InstructionsPart 1: Initial Post (Due by Day 3)
Post a substantive response of 400–500 words that addresses all of the following:Define nursing theory in your own words and explain the difference between nursing theory, conceptual models, and the nursing metaparadigm.

Describe one historical or philosophical influence on the development of nursing knowledge (e.g., Florence Nightingale, Carper’s Ways of Knowing, or the evolution from task-oriented to theory-based practice).
Share your perspective: How do you currently view the role of theory in your future advanced nursing practice?
