In this journal assignment, you’ll take that reflection a step further by exploring how implicit or unconscious bias may show up in your dominant identities. You’ll also connect your insights to the core principles of social justice.

Specifically, you must address the following rubric criteria:

Social Identities: Describe your most dominant social identities and how they shape daily experiences using at least one specific example.
Implicit Bias or Unconscious Bias: Describe how implicit or unconscious bias appears within your most dominant identities. Use at least one example of how it affects your thinking, language, or behavior.
Core Principles of Justice: Identify and explain multiple core principles of social justice, including one that feels most connected to your personal experience.
Understanding of Bias and Justice: Explain how implicit bias influences understanding of social justice principles, including effects in personal or professional settings. Support your response with at least one example.
