Create an executive summary (500–750) that features the highlights and takeaways of the analysis you conducted in this course
Create an executive summary (500–750) that features the highlights and takeaways of the analysis you conducted in this course. Articulate what you want and why it makes customer, operational, and economic sense for all stakeholders.
Keep the following in mind when writing an effective executive summary.
Be concise and relevant. Verbose writing is as damaging as not saying enough. Conversely, brevity is only effective if you communicate every important element to the point that those receiving the report can make what they determine to be informed decisions.
Use a professional tone, and be sure to eliminate flowery, superfluous, overembellished, if not misleading claims.
Stick to factual findings that have been used to formulate your recommendations.
While it is necessary for you to spend time explaining the points, it is very important that you explain how you came to the conclusions and recommendations you are submitting.
Where appropriate among the various elements of the strategic case analysis, address the following points.
Strategic Plans: Recommend strategic plans to improve the company’s competitive advantage.
Leadership Skills: Explain how leadership skills can be applied to encourage innovation to improve the company.
Leadership Decisions: Recommend specific decisions company leadership can make in order to capitalize on untapped business opportunities.
List the industry-specific resources you used to inform the development of your strategic case analysis, as well as the sources that inform your suggestions in bullet points above.
Part 2: Strategic Analysis
Conduct a strategic analysis, including all the sections completed over the previous seven weeks, presented in a professional format similar to the examples you have studied throughout this course.
Refer to the “AI Resource Center,” located in Class Resources. As part of your strategic analysis process, use an approved generative AI tool to conduct and organize your research.
Be sure to include any revisions/corrections suggested by the instructor throughout the previous assignments.
Part 3: PowerPoint Presentation (15–20 slides)
Presents the strategic analysis, findings, and resulting recommendations.
Incorporate relevant support from all the sources that have contributed to your learning in this class. This will include articles listed in the syllabus as well as those discovered during your individual (and team) research conducted to complete each segment of the strategic analysis.
