Week 5 Discussion 1: Selecting a Translational or Nursing Change Model for Your DNP Project
To guide the implementation of your DNP project, you are required to select a translational change model or nursing theory that aligns with your project’s goals. This could be a model such as the Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) Cycle, Lewin’s Change Theory, Knowledge to Action Cycle, The Iowa Model, etc., or a nursing theory such as Dorothea Orem’s Self-Care Theory, Jean Watson’s Caring Science, The Roy Adaptation Model, etc.
Review your textbook readings and perform a brief literature search to identify a model that:
Is clearly structured and easy to apply.
Guides change from planning through evaluation.
Is generalizable across clinical settings.
Supports evidence-based implementation.
