interpersonal and group dynamics within an organizational setting.
• Discuss, inquire, evaluate, and apply organizational models and strategies to
real-life settings.
Instructions:
Your HRM team is consulting with the management team of a mid-sized scientific lab.
The organization tests chemical compositions. They have a number of issues that they
are struggling with and are seeking some guidance on how to address the issues. The
first issue they are seeking guidance on is how they will interact with a union that was
recently established with a group of their employees. None of the managers have
worked with a Union before and would lie your team to describe what they should
expect. The second issue they would like address employee complaints about job
hazards in the lab. Employees are complaining that little is done to protect them from
some of the hazardous materials they recently began to work with. People who live in
the community where this organization is located are also concerned about the impact
the materials might have on the environment. The Managers do not believe this is their
responsibility to address these issues. They are struggling with what is means to be
socially responsible. You will need to explain what their responsibilities are as well as
what the consequences are with failing to assume responsibility. Finally, an employee,
Anna, has come forward and stated she now identifies as non-binary and has changed
her name to Max. She no longer wants to be referred to as she and has stated her
