Introduction:

The ability to articulate the potential impact of your project in a concise manner to project stakeholders can impact the successful implementation of any change initiative. The successful outcome of your project depends upon your ability to communicate effectively and prepare for meetings with important stakeholders.

This assessment is crucial to the success of your data analysis project and provides an opportunity for you to refine and add detail to your project.

Note: Each assessment of your capstone project is built on the work you have completed in previous assessments. Therefore, you must complete the assessments in the order they are presented.

Instructions

For this assessment, you will present data, analyze the data, and propose recommendations to solve your selected problem.

  1. List the factors that cause the selected problem and identify how each factor is measured numerically within the literature (dollars, days, percentage, et cetera).
  2. Locate and describe the data sets you intend to analyze.
    • Important: If you are using private organizational data, you must provide signed, written permission from someone at the organization permitting you to use the data in this course. Include the organization name, the individual's name, title, workplace address, email address, and contact phone number. Use the Learner and Employer Acknowledgement and Release Form [PDF] to obtain this signed permission.
  3. Create a proposed graphic structure in which to display each major factor that contributes to your selected problem. Examples of graphics might include a bar graph, pie chart, et cetera.
    • See the resources for this assessment for assistance in creating graphics.
    • Graphics with numeric data are required for the final project.
  4. Under each graphic, provide a sentence or two about how this graphic is relevant to understanding the problem.
  5. Finally, complete the section, “Evidence-Based Recommendations,” by listing each evidence-based best practice recommendation for team implementation separately in one sentence, citing the source. Then you may add additional content to explain the recommendation.
  6. Include a final full reference list in APA format, which includes all sources integrated into the assessment.
  7. Submit your assessment to Turnitin as a draft. Open the report result, review the highlighted sections, and make any needed corrections before submitting your work for grading.

  • Document Length: Respond to all prompts in the template.
  • Supporting Evidence: Include at least 12 academic or scholarly sources that match in-text citations.
    • Supporting evidence may include current accrediting body standards, industry standards, and government agency reports, including such sources as the AHA, National Academy of Medicine, Harvard Business Review (HBR), et cetera.
  • APA Formatting: Format in-text citations and references according to current APA style and formatting. Evidence and APAcan help with this.
  • Submission Requirements: Submit your Data Analysis and Evidence-Based Recommendations document and any signed permission documents in the Assessment area.
