In this scenario if a larger company looks to acquire iHiker, I believe that its very important to protect iHikers secrets and company information during the buying process. I think that our best option would be to have the company sign a non-disclosure agreement before we share any type of sensitive information that could be used to hurt iHiker. By doing this they wont be legally able to use it against us or worse share the information with non authorized people.

Now in order to keep the acquisition of iHiker Private we could potentially include a confidentiality clause and with that limit who is able to know about it. The process of due diligence in this case would mean that the other company will be able to examine iHikers financials, operations, and contracts in order to decide if its even worth to buy iHiker and if it makes sense for them or not. For the Owners of iHiker it might be a huge financial reward but thats temporary since they will loose most of the control over the company. Regarding the employees, they might be able to gain new opportunities but could also loose their jobs due to re organizizng the company. Lastly I believe that the customer could benefit from the buy due to new features, but i also believe that iHiker could loose a bunch of customers since the personal feel they had might get lost due to new employees and maybe even changing up the whole original brand. I don’t think that selling should be an option yet, since its such a big decision and a lot more complicated than we think it is.
