Identify the benefits that data warehousing, online transactional databases, and data mining can provide to an organization
MANAGING DATA
The goal of data management is to provide the infrastructure and tools to transform raw data into usable corporate information of the highest quality. There are a number of difficulties associated with managing data; for example, managing, searching for, and retrieving data located throughout the enterprise can be a major challenge. Data management programs can provide access to all of the data, alleviating many of the problems associated with data file environments. However, databases are volatile because they are constantly being added to, edited, or updated.
