Instructions In a PowerPoint presentation, differentiate between learning principles to ensure valid and reliable assessment of learning. Include the following topics:

• The definitions of valid assessment and reliable assessment and why both are important in learning and its measurement.

• Externally motivating factors for participation, such as rewards and consequences. Can these be helpful or harmful to learning?

• Exam preparation versus application of information to the learners’ real world. What are the benefits of each? Is there a wrong approach?

• Active and collaborative learning experiences. How is it helpful and how can its absence be harmful to learning?
