My name is Lily Parra; I am an Executive Assistant for a Healthcare Organization.  In my role, I often use data to make informed decisions.  For instance, when I plan events, I analyze past attendance data to determine the best times and dates to schedule future events, ensuring maximum participation. I also consider the number of lunches needed, depending on the number of people attending, to ensure accuracy and cost-effective spending. 

Susan could use a convenience sample to take a sample of the student population that would not represent the population. This method involves selecting students who are easiest to reach. This approach is quick and easy, but it can be biased because it doesn't account for the diversity of all grade levels. For example, if she only samples students from the 9th grade, the preferences of the older students would be excluded. 

A better approach would be to use a stratified random sample.  This method involves dividing the student population into smaller subgroups based on grade level and gender, then randomly selecting a proportional number of students from each group. This ensures that the sample accurately reflects the diversity of the entire student body. Susan can ensure that her sample includes students from each grade and gender.

Hello, my name is Gaberiel Warren. I am currently going for a degree in mathematics. I have used data when I played Pokemon and wanted to make the Pokemon I had stronger.  A sample that would not represent the population well would be to only take samples of students in one grade. A sample that would represent the population well would take samples from all grades and classes randomly. The relationship between samples and population is that samples are a small microcosm of the entire population and can show you the distribution of the population. The two samples that I provided would be classified as random.
