You are a member of the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEI& B) team for a major healthcare system. The Human Resource Manager and the Director of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) Department are collaborating on a project to address the lack of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in the organization.

The HR manager and the CME Director approached the team and asked the DEI& B team to develop a DEI& B Training that will train clinicians and employees to recognize implicit bias in their own perceptions and practices, introduce the organization’s DEI&B vision and goals, present what it means to model cultural awareness in the workplace, and discuss the actions the organization will take to demonstrate its overall commitment and acceptance of its corporate responsibility to embed DEI& B practices into every facet of the organization.

• Judge what it means to model cultural awareness in a health care organization.
• Propose the actions the organization will take to demonstrate its overall commitment and acceptance of its corporate responsibility to embed DEI&B practices into every facet of the organization.
