Complete the “Aligning Standards and Assessments for Typical and Atypical Early Learners,” including the following information:

• Select a state early learning or academic standard for each of the following three age ranges: one early learning standard for 2-year-olds, one early learning standard for preschool, and one state academic standard for a grade of your choice between kindergarten and Grade 3.
• Review the class profiles for the ages/grades selected.
• Write measurable objectives that align to each standard and include a verb that directly aligns with the assessment (utilize the “Writing Learning Objectives” resource).
• Create a developmentally appropriate assessment that aligns with standards and the objectives based on student data in the class profiles.
• Describe 2-3 student data factors from the class profiles that might alter the assessment outcomes.
• Describe 2-3 accommodations or modifications for the assessment based on the data from the class profiles to meet the needs of all students. Make sure the accommodations/modifications align with the identified standards and objectives.

Following the template, write a 250-500 word summary of the following:

• Discuss the importance of alignment between standards, objectives, instruction, and assessments and how you can ensure alignment when lesson planning.
