Background 

The Affordable Care Act (ACA) of 2010, also known as Obamacare, is a comprehensive healthcare reform law that aims to make health insurance more accessible and affordable for Americans by creating health insurance marketplaces where individuals can shop for plans, providing subsidies to help cover costs, and prohibiting insurance companies from denying coverage based on pre-existing conditions; it also expanded Medicaid eligibility for low-income individuals and implemented various consumer protections within the health insurance market. 

Instructions 

Choose an objective measure of the effectiveness of the ACA. Examples include: the number of Americans who have health insurance, the percentage of people with serious mental illnesses who are receiving care, etc. Then, write a persuasive paragraph using the evidence that you have gathered regarding retaining or changing the ACA. Include the downsides or unforeseen negative effects.
