NIKE has successfully implemented lean manufacturing through a holistic change in their production strategy aimed at improving environmental sustainability and increasing efficiency.

NIKE’s lean manufacturing implementation involved a shift from traditional mass production to a more responsive system rooted in lean principles. As detailed in their fiscal reports and sustainability missions, NIKE redesigned their production processes to minimize waste and maximize resource utilization. This included reducing material waste and increasing the use of more sustainable materials (NIKE, n.d.).
