Athlete Centered Strength, Conditioning, and Performance Enhancement Lesson Plans
For this assignment you will be responsible to provide the following information:
· For this assignment you will design and present the lesson plans for 2 days.
· Your athletes will consist of either new freshman or new Paralympic athletes.
· They are elite athletes and need for you to teach them the primary movements for 7 of the most common exercises they will be performing over the year.
· Your lesson plan should consist of; 1 Core, 1 Balance, 1 Flexibility, 1 Plyometric, 1 SAQ, and 2 Resistance Training exercises over the course of 2 days. Divide the exercises and teach 4 one day and 3 the other.
· Lesson plans should be rich in detail, fully identifying the exercise, the rationale behind the choice of exercise, the goals or expected outcomes from performing the exercise, and how to perform the exercise. Include movement check points, progressions, and regressions as necessary.
· On the day you only teach 3 exercises you will also identify, describe, and explain the metabolic energy system used in your chosen sport. You will be providing the rationale behind the chosen acute variables in the training program design and justify and predict the desired performance outcomes from your program design. This section should be 2-5 paragraphs of 3-5 sentences each paragraph.
Provide an academic title page that includes your name, the date, the course number and section, your instructor’s name and credentials, and the title of the assignment.
APA 7th edition Formatting is required.
A Reference page and in text citations are not necessary for this assignment.
