The patient ended up having a thyroid scan, thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), and thyroid-stimulating immunoglobulin (TSI), and free thyroxine (FT4) test done. The patient was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism graves disease. She was prescribed a beta blocker (metoprolol, propranolol), antithyroid medication (methimazole, thioamide), radioactive iodine therapy, and or surgery.
