Applying what you have learned in the previous weeks’ assignments, you will create a brochure that can be shared with your stakeholders. Your brochure should be based on the standardized tests that are used with the chosen age group (infants and toddlers, preschoolers, school aged).
Your brochure must contain sections with the following guidelines:
• Choose two of the standardized assessments that are shared in Chapter 4 of your course text, Assessment in Early Childhood Education, which are used with your chosen age group. For these two standardized tests, compare the following:
o Explain how the assessment is scored. This includes clearly defining whether each assessment is norm referenced or criterion referenced.
o Describe what each test measures. Make sure to connect this back to developmental domains.
o Explain the role that reliability and validity play in each of these assessments.
• Explain what the two standardized tests do not measure, and how you will measure these skills.
• Discuss how you will report the results to families.
• Provide at least three tips for families about how they can communicate concerns or questions about standardized testing with you.
• Include at least three standardized testing resources families can use if they want to learn more about standardized testing. Include a one- to two-sentence description of each resource.
• Utilize at least three images that are related to standardized testing throughout your brochure to enhance the visual appeal.
