PUBH 6032: WEEK 4 ASSIGNMENT 1
Public health professionals use a variety of methods to summarize data. One of the most common methods is the frequency distribution, which is a table that displays how many people fall into different categories of variables such as education level, alcohol consumption, or disease status. Frequency distributions can be presented in tabular format, or visually through a histogram or pie chart. A histogram is a display of statistical information that uses rectangles to show the frequency of data items in successive numerical intervals of equal size. In the most common form of histogram, the independent variable is plotted along the horizontal axis and the dependent variable is plotted along the vertical axis.
In this Assignment, you will use the SPSS Analysis Data Set to complete the following:
Download the Frequency Distribution Worksheet and follow the indicated steps to produce frequency distributions for indicated variables in the data set.
