You will choose a conversation in your discipline that focuses on a current and unresolved issue and will document useful sources you collect throughout your inquiry-driven research process in a series of research logs.

A Note on Plagiarism: You may be tempted to use AI or some other shortcut to summarize the sources. This is plagiarism and not allowed for this assignment and this course in general. Please read / watch the source and write your own summary of what you understand from the source. Doing the work yourself will benefit you later in the course and also generally in your ability to read, understand, and summarize. If you don't do the work, you really are cheating yourself. Deadlines: This is a major assignment so I will accept it up to five days late with late penalties. You may use your penalty passes for this assignment, however, since it is one of the smallest major assignments, that would not be a good use of your late passes. Try to submit this on time. You can also revise this assignment if you are not happy with the grade that you receive. Revisions: This is a major assignment so if you are not happy with your grade, you have the opportunity to meet with me to discuss a revision and resubmit for a better grade. You have two weeks to schedule a revision conference after graded papers have been returned to the class. The due date of the revised assignment will be determined by mutual agreement at our meeting to discuss the assignment. Make sure that you submit your reflection.
