How can the theoretical concepts (from the chosen theory in B &C above) be used to describe, support, or explain practice? PICOT: P: Population/Problem: Homeless adults with substance use disorders (SUD) in urban settings.
I: Intervention: Community based treatment addiction centers tailored specifically for the homeless which could include mobile medical units offering medication assisted treatment (MAT) and links to long term care.
C: Comparison: Traditional treatment methods which often involves sporadic detox services or emergency care during overdose events, without comprehensive follow up.
O: Outcome: Reduction in substance use, improvement in long term addiction treatment, decrease in emergency department visits, related to substance use.
T: Time: One year.
