Social Issue Presentation

Your last social issue unit project will ask you to construct a recorded slide show presentation with the main components of each of the preceding projects.

Instructions

At the conclusion of our Social Issue Unit, students will construct a presentation summarizing their social issue projects using Google Slides, PowerPoint, Adobe Spark, Prezi, Microsoft Sway, Canva, or any other slide creation tool of their choosing. This is a way for everyone to see what you’ve been working on!
You MUST include at least content 10 slides (NOT including the title slide, Works Cited, or Thank You slide–10 content slides!) covering the following information:

Introduction:

Statement of the problem/definition of the social issue

From your Root Cause/History Section:

The root cause of your issue

The origin of your issue

2-3 main historical facts about your issue
From your Argument Section:

differing viewpoints about the issue
your stance/opinion on the issue
Important evidence supporting your stance

Environmental Scan: How your issue is impacted by (or impacts) industry/market, economics, technology, social, politics, and regulations (this can be brief–the idea is to share the main points from your Environmental Scan portion of your essay)
Works Cited Slide
Thank you/conclusion slide
*Note: Do NOT write entire paragraphs on your slides. The text on your slides should me minimal and should be accompanied by images. Then, you will present your slides and add more detail as you talk.
You will then record your presentation slides as though you were presenting them in a face-to-face class. You can use Canvas Studio, Zoom, or a similar program to share your slides on your screen and narrate your presentation with audio, creating a 10-15-minute webinar-style presentation.
