Religion diversity power point

Submission: A professional PowerPoint presentation with at least 5 slides, not including cover page and references page.

MAP

First, pick a local community you would like to map. This community could be where you currently live, where you grew up, or where you want to live someday.

Within a 50-60 mile radius of the city you choose, do a web search with these key words: houses of worship, religious centers, interfaith groups, temple, synagogue, mosque, Islamic center, masjid, secular humanist, covens, Tibetan centers, gurdwara sahib, among others. Check Facebook as well for any active groups if you have Facebook.

+List 2-3 interesting things that came up from your search. What did you find?

+Submit at least one screen shot of the results of this search in the PowerPoint.

Alternatively, you can provide a picture or other media that displays the results. The goal is to show proof that you did a thorough search.

ANALYSIS

Present the answers to these questions in any way that makes sense to you in the PowerPoint Presentation:

A. What from class material helps you understand those 2-3 interesting things? For instance, if you found a lot of different types of churches, what principle of religious studies can you apply to that to help that result make sense to you? From the required readings thus far, what quote or application from the readings can put these 2-3 interesting things into perspective for you?

B.the pluralism https://pluralism.org/ . argues that America is religiously diverse. Access the https://pluralism.org/historical-perspectives section. Provide one example of how America has long encountered religious difference. At least one citation of a source related to the Pluralism Project is required here. Do any of those historical perspectives connect with the results of your map, even loosely?
REFLECT

How does considering the religious diversity in your chosen community help you understand how you might want to engage your community now or in the future?
