Importance of Addressing the Issue of Nurse Retention

Dr. Leigh Chapman RN, PhD became the Chief Nursing Officer of Canada in August 2022 ( see Backgrounder: Chief Nursing Officer of Canada biography – Canada.ca).

In her first year in office. Dr. Chapman traveled across the country to meet with nurses to discuss the profession and strategies to retain nurses (Government of Canada and Chief Nursing Officer hosted the Nursing Retention Forum to address health workforce challenges – Canada.ca). She believes her role is to share the voices of nurses with politicians to make positive changes to retain nurses and create an innovative health care system.

Using a persuasive style, write a paper that tells Dr. Chapman what you would like shared with politicians about the nursing in Canada.
