As you’ve learned, the visual should not distract from the verbal message but should support the message, enhance understanding of the concepts, and add greater impact to the presentation.

Discuss the different types of visual aids you could use during the informative speech presentation in this course. You will both need to answer questions about the visual aid you plan to use, as well as create the visual aid.

Create a visual aid for your presentation. Your visual should be at least one page (or slide) but can be more if you prefer. You can use any presentation design software (such as PowerPoint or Keynote), websites (such as Prezi, Canva, PicMonkey), or even simple designs in MS Word.If you’re using physical items during your presentation for a demonstration, you can create a slide using pictures of the items you plan to use/show during your demonstration. If you’ve elected to show a clip from a video in your speech as your visual aid, you can embed it in the presentation or share the URL here; either way, note the time the video will start and end (Example: 1:44 on the counter through 2:47).
