Step 1: Find your inspirational art piece
For this assignment, you will go on a virtual trip to an online museum collection for inspiration. You will visit a museum from the list (or any museum of your choice) and select one item of the virtual collection that has similar aesthetic of your chosen brand from last week. There is no right or wrong choice as your interpretation of an art is a subjective experience. Accordingly, explaining your interpretation of the art in relation to ROSS STORES BRAND is a key to communicate why and how the art and the brand shares the similar aesthetic.

Step 2: Report about the art
There are four parts for the report. Write a paragraph per each part. Insert a visual of the art in your report.

Part 1
Describe your initial reaction when you encounter the art. What emotional and sensory experiences did you have? Why do you think you had such a sensation and such experiences?
Part 2
Investigate the art. Appreciation of art requires an understanding of the society and the culture reflected in the art. Examine when and where the art was created and who created it. Try to answer what the artist tried to say with the work and why the artist created the work. In the process, consider attributes, such as societal and cultural environments, including available technology and the artists’ ethnicity, race, and gender.

Analyze the art in terms of design elements and principles. Use the terminology.
