EDU/305 v14 Child Development Observation Guide The purpose of this guide is to provide some key developmental characteristics to consider (and look for) in each domain, a space to predict what you expect to see, and a space to record what you observed as you prepare for the Week 4 Summative Assessment: Child Development Report. Read the suggested characteristics under each developmental domain heading in the Considerations section before you complete Part 1 and Part 2. For Week 3 • Complete the Expected Developmental Characteristics column in the Developmental Domains and Characteristics Table in Part 1. • Complete the Expected Developmental Characteristics column in the Developmental Domains and Characteristics Table in Part 2. By Week 4 • Complete the Observed Developmental Characteristics column in the Developmental Domains and Characteristics Table in Part 1. • Complete the Observed Developmental Characteristics column in the Developmental Domains and Characteristics Table in Part 2.
