Understanding Communication Style As An Adventurer Reflection
Communication Styles Reflection Instructions In order to complete this assignment, you will first need to complete the personality assessment at https://www.16personalities.com/. This is not a graded assessment, it is simply meant to help you understand how you prefer to communicate. Please do not overthink the questions; there is no right or wrong answer, the questions are simply asking for your preference. Be sure to email yourself your results and do not pay for any upgrades! The free version is all you will need for this class. Once you have completed the assessment, you will discuss your reactions to your results in a short essay. This means you need an introduction with a clear thesis that states what you will address in your reflection, a paragraph per prompt, and a conclusion where you wrap up your thoughts and explain what you learned. Be sure to provide clear evidence and reasoning to support your claims. As with all weekly reflection assignments for the course, you have the choice of writing your response or selfrecording it. If you are writing it, I ask that you format your paper in MLA. If you are recording it, please note that your video should not be more than 5 minutes and still needs a clear introduction, body, and conclusion; this should not be a cold read of the prompts. There is no minimum length for this reflection, just be sure to address each of the prompts below. Note that some of the prompts have more than one question, so you will need to address each part if full to earn full credit. 1. What is your personality type as identified by the assessment? Be sure to provide the full name in addition to the types (for example, the Architect – INTJ) 2. Looking at your Strengths & Weaknesses, choose 2 of each to discuss and address (a) if you agree with the strength or weakness as well as (b) why or why not. 3. Discuss the career paths and workplace habits sections. Does this fit with your career goals? Did you find anything that surprised you? Be sure to include at least 1 specific example of something that was included in you profile. 4. Discuss something that surprised or stood out to you in at least one of the following sections; Romantic Relationships, Friendships, Parenthood. 5. Identify at least two specific goals you have for improving your communication skills; be sure that one is a personal goal and one is a professional goal. 6. Be sure to let me know if you have any concerns going into the term. This can be about the class, about personal or professional obligations that may impact your ability to be here, or literally anything else you think I should be aware of. If there are any support resources I can help you find, please be sure to let me know! By discuss, I mean (1) share something that was written, as well as if (2) you agree or disagree with it, and (3) why. Due on Sep 3, 2023 11:59 PM Available on Aug 21, 2023 12:01 AM.
