The Course is: Frankenstein To Ai. The base of our class stems from Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein” you can use this book as a primary source. I have several sources already that I will provide that I need you to use for this lit review. There is a requirement of 20 relevant scholarly sources. Books, articles, etc.
****The Topic/focus of my paper is Playing God: Ethical Parallels between Ai and “Frankenstein” ****
Ai can’t be used at all. The professor is a librarian and the staff at my school takes Ai use very seriously and will fail me without hesitation.
Here is some of the Criteria:
The first is to summarize and assess the state of existing information on your topic.
What is the background – development of the topic/technology?
o What are the major conversations or threads of scholarship on this topic?
o What is generally accepted knowledge with regard to your topic?
o Are there important differences or disagreements among scholars?
o Are there significant problems or limitations with any of the research?
o What questions remain unanswered?
o What aspects or approaches seem relatively unexplored?
o What is the current status and future predictions for this technology/topic?
Through the process of reviewing existing scholarship and conversations, you will also develop a more nuanced understanding of your topic. This is the second reason for conducting a literature review; it helps to provide a foundation for what has already been written so others can build on the existing conversations.
This new understanding leads to the third reason, to raise questions for further research.o In other words, what are you left wondering from what you have read?o What questions or aspects of the issue do you find have been unanswered, underexplored, or overlooked?
The final purpose of this literature review, based on the sources that have been assessed and the new questions that have been raised, is to help identify a specific and significant research question that identifies how new research could be added to the ongoing conversation
