As the amount of data generated globally grows exponentially, data-driven businesses are increasingly turning to more innovative database management systems to store, manage, and process all that data. In the last decade, the amount of data generated has increased tremendously, rising from two zettabytes of data in 2010 to 64 zettabytes in 2020. The total volume is expected to reach 180 zettabytes by 2025. The need for database management systems to process, manage, interpret, and analyze data has never been greater. There are several DBMS trends that we can expect to see more of in the years to come. This includes:
