Lab Analysis #6: Bivariate Regression (Discussion Board) – 5 Points
About: Is there a relationship between years of education and number of children? Using the general social survey data, we can examine this question using the regression equation and correlation. In this discussion board, you will examine and write about the results of a statistical output where our Independent Variable (X) is years of education and our dependent variable (Y) is number of children.
We will not only be applying what we learned this week but also engaging in discussion with our classmates about what could be the reasons behind the results that we see.
Results:
These results come from a national survey called the General Social Survey taken in 2018. Among the many questions, respondents were asked about their years of education as well as the number of children they have. Make sure to read both the regression equation output and the correlation output. Here are the results!

Consider the relationship between the two variables, what could be some of the reasons behind the results? What additional variables can be considered in determining the relationship between these two variables?
