Continue the brainstorming process and explore Google News. to help find current stories that are related to your topic of interest. Revisit News Feature Examples from Previous NMC 301 students for inspiration as well. Tomorrow have two solid solid ideas to pitch to me for your final news feature. Use the prompts below for your pitch to me (you will only be pitching your ideas to me NOT the entire class), and be sure to include everything that I am asking for below. You need two ideas, one is back up in case I do not approve your first idea. I will let you know in the classroom tomorrow which one that I approve.

First, note what your topic is (health, entertainment, education, activism/social justice, or ?).

Then for each of your TWO PITCH IDEAS answer the following (See pitch examples from Week 2 module for what I am looking for).:

What is your proposed topic title?

Why is this topic interesting to you?

Run Google Trends and MuckRack Trends on keywords within your topic idea. What did the results indicate?

What recent story did you find from your Google News search relates to this topic? Be sure to include title and link to article.
