This Group Assignment is based on chapter 4 – Setting Goals – specifically focusing on achieving a long-term career goal.
NOTES:
Students must review the information from Chapter 4 assessing differences between long-term goals and short-term goals, as well as internal locus of control versus external locus of control.
Students must create a PowerPoint detailing the steps – in the form of goal setting – they need to follow in order to achieve a long-term career goal.
The PowerPoint must highlight a specific career path, with relevant industry examples.
The PowerPoint must reflect on an appropriate mindset that will allow for the achievement of career success.
The PowerPoint must indicate how a long-term goal can be attained through setting short-term goals.
Students must incorporate the techniques delivered in the Writing Lab presentation when composing the PowerPoint.
The PowerPoint is to be between 12-16 slides – with a Cover Slide and a Table of Contents.
Include the names and ID numbers of each group member on the submission.
Create a PowerPoint on any relevant software but submit on PDF.
