A ToolBox
A toolbox is a place to organize and store tools so that they are ready for immediate use when the time comes. There are many different types of toolboxes—literal toolboxes, such as those that sit in a garage or are used by a mechanic, and figurative toolboxes that contain resources, ideas, or other intangibles. As a future social worker, you will generate your own toolbox for work with clients. This toolbox will likely contain key resources in your area to which you can refer clients, as well as information on financial, healthcare, housing, and childcare assistance, as appropriate to your role. You will constantly be adding to your toolbox as you become more familiar with the unique needs of your client population.
In this Discussion, you will begin the process of curating resources and developing a toolbox—this time for academic support tools that you will use to facilitate success in your BSW studies.
