I know some of you have followed this case extensively since it began. Some of you may not have. However, all of you surely had heard about the case before you watched the videos posted. What I am really interested in are your thoughts on the case. Although we don’t study Italy specifically, you will have a fairly good grasp of the court system there after reviewing the material.

Questions to address:

1. What is your personal opinion about this case, the investigation and the way it was handled by the police and in the court system? (5 points)

2. If the murder happened in the U.S., would she have been arrested and convicted? Why? (5 points)

3. If you were sitting on a jury and had to decide if Amanda Knox were guilty, how would you vote – guilty or not guilty? Why? (5 points)

4. If Amanda Knox’s conviction was ultimately upheld on her appeal, do you believe the U.S. should have extradited her? Why? (5 points)

Explain all of your answers thoroughly. Your responses should be very substantive (300-500 words for each answer). Take the time to think about and answer these questions. In doing so, although many resources were posted, you can certainly find others to support your position. Cite your sources in APA 7 format in the answers to each question and at the end as a reference.
