For this final assignment, you will use Assignment 4 as a starting document. Use the feedback from your instructor on previous assignments to edit your paper. The edited paper will become the final draft that is your Week 5 paper.
Note: You are not searching for new sources or writing a new research paper but using the feedback from your instructor to revise and edit the Week 4 rough draft into the Week 5 final Research Topic Short Essay.
By revising and submitting this completed final draft, you will have applied the concepts and skills learned during this course by writing about the topic you have researched throughout the course. Building the Research Topic Short Essay has challenged you to integrate and apply the information literacy skills you have been learning each week.
Prepare
Reminder. This assignment builds on last week’s assignment Research Topic Short Essay Draft. Do not start a new template but rather add to and edit the assignment worked on throughout this course.
What is expected? Open and review the assignment Week 4: Research Topic Short Essay Draft 3. Use this document as a starting point for this assignment. In this assignment it is expected that you will apply all feedback provided for assignments to revise and hone the final essay paper. You will remove the scholarly and popular source labels in the reference list and list all source entries alphabetically by author’s last name.

Your paper should include the following:
Title. State the title of your essay.
Introduction. Write an introductory paragraph that is five sentences long.
Subtopic 1. Create a paragraph of at least five sentences that discusses Subtopic 1 and answers the research question you have developed.
Subtopic 2. Create a paragraph of at least five sentences that discusses Subtopic 2 and answers the research question you have developed.
Subtopic 3. Create a paragraph of at least five sentences that discusses Subtopic 3 and answers the research question you have developed.
Citations. Use APA-formatted in-text citations to support each paragraph with at least one scholarly or one popular source.
PIE and ICE. Use the PIE and ICE method to write each paragraph.
Conclusion. Summarize the main takeaway of the research process in a conclusion paragraph of at least five sentences, making sure to explain how information literacy skills will help in future academic, personal, or professional success.
References. Use APA formatting to list both popular and scholarly sources in the reference list. However, for the final essay, remove the scholarly and popular source labels and list each source alphabetically by the author’s last name.
