Get it written →Back in 2020 many of us had to rapidly convert to working from home. Think about your home office setup and how might might model it if we were going to use it as the SoI in an SE life cycle?
Firstly, briefly list some of the soft issues that could drive a home office setup. Drawn a Rich Picture and do some soft modelling first and this would be the right approach for a real problem. For this exercise a short text list of stakeholders and issues will do.
Model your home setup in 2020 before your started working from home (or imagine it if you never did). Put a Working at Home (WAH) SoI in as a black box SoI and drawn the 3 views in Part 2 of the example:
oA View of the WAH SoI Context (drawn using a BDD)
oA View of the WAH Static Behaviour (drawn using a UC)
oA View of the WAH Dynamic Interactions (drawn using an AD)
oList some high level WAH Requirements.
take your initial model views and expand them to define the top level elements of the WAH SoI, following the example.
For this first exercise we are primarily exercising the SySML syntax. So, any valid diagram will fulfil our exercise purpose. Doing the first 4 views will achieve most of that, any extra views will expand you understanding. At this stage please create hand drawn views, take a picture of each using your phone or webcam and collect them together into a word, ppt or pdf file.
When you finish please answer the following questions:
1.Which of the SySML diagram did you find the easiest to use and can you say why?
2.Which of the SySML diagram did you find the hardest to use and can you say why?
3.If we create all of the views above, what other views would we need to create a model to support the defined purpose?
