When you have completed this project you may submit it electronically through the online course by scanning the pages into either .pdf (Portable Document Format), or .doc (Microsoft Word document) format. PROJECT DETAILS: You are to create an accurate time line representing when each of the following celestial bodies was discovered in our solar system and by whom. You can determine which culture described these celestial objects or you can determine which astronomer first accurately described these celestial objects in terms of their role in our solar system. It can either be hand drawn or completed on the computer. You should include images, dates and culturally relevant information. Creativity of your presentation of the correct information is key! Each of the celestial bodies should be drawn to approximate scale and correct color representation. Your time line must include: 1. The 8 major planets 2. The Sun 3. AT LEAST ONE moon for each of the planets that do have a moon ❖ Exception is for Jupiter: include all the Galilean Moons 4. Kuiper Belt 5. AT LEAST 2 Dwarf planets Grading: Your project will be graded on creativity and accuracy. Make sure to include all 5 items listed in the project details. Make sure to include who made each discovery and when. You are required to cite your sources if the work you submit work is not your own. This project can be submitted through the online course.
