  Evidence-Based Management – Chapters 3 & 4Practitioners, people who have specific experience in the particular area of a decision, often have a more detailed and nuanced understanding of the factors influencing the outcome of a decision.  Chapter 3 explains who to ask and what to ask them. Chapter 4 describes how to assess the information gathered from Practitioners.
  Evidence-Based Management – Chapters 10 & 11Stakeholders represent the various groups of individuals who are impacted by the decisions of organizations. These groups include suppliers, customers, employees, shareholders, etc. Since they often view decisions through different lenses, responsible decision-makers encourage their perspectives (in order to ensure that they are considering all relevant material).  Chapter 10 addresses the process of identifying the stakeholder who are relevant to a decision and the methods of eliciting their views. Chapter 11 discusses the appraisal of stakeholder evidence.
  Evidence-Based Management – Chapter 13Bringing together the information from the various sources permits the decision-maker to assess and weigh the various courses of action under consideration. Chapter 13 describes the things to consider during this synthesis of information.
  Read the article From data to decisions: Data-driven decision making in practice (Case Studies).     
• Explain in a 200 to 300 words how (and why) the practice undertaken differs from more traditional approaches.
• Also identify whether or not you think that the outcome of the decision was or was not worth the cost (in terms of time and money).
