Proposed topic: “The Impact of Social Media on Mental Health among Adolescents”
Background and Significance: Adolescents are known to spend most of their time on social media due to the increased use of technology in their daily lives. Thus it becomes crucial to understand the impact of this digital phenomenon of Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat and more in their daily lives on the psychological well-being of youth. It is unfortunate that numerous scientific studies show that social networking increases numerous psychological problems such as low self-esteem, loneliness, and suicidal thoughts (Schønning et al., 2020). This is why this topic is important for further discussion in academic circles as well as in society. In this study, we shall explore various aspects of this phenomenon in order to understand what might be useful in changing adolescents’ unhealthy behaviors in the digital environment. To me, this is an interesting topic because it is a pressing issue in modern society that has a chance to change the lives of youth for the better.
Examination: Yes this topic can as produce a good video that should take at least six minutes to produce. Robust empirical evidence has been published on the topic, ranging from investigations that examined the psychological processes through which social media affects mental health to intervention programs developed to reduce the adverse effects of the phenomenon.
