In a Word document (saved as a .docx file), write a 100-150 word paragraph that uses definition (see W-5b for more on using examples). You choose the topic; pick something from your life that you know well. Don’t use the web to search for a topic; however, you are welcome to use a definition that you find on a site or in a book, as long as you attribute that definition to the source (by saying something like, “The Oxford English Dictionary defines…”) and quote any words that you take from the source. Elaborate on that definition with further explanation of your own. Pick a topic that you can explain by defining what it is and, perhaps, what it is not to help your reader grasp it.  Don’t use AI to generate ideas or to edit your writing; just give me a pure sample of your writing abilities.
