Assignment Tasks TQM plays a significant role in organizational development and process improvements. You as Quality Manger, you would like to start TQM initiation/ TQM Implementation or TQM evaluation. Select any Oman organization of your choice. Study the fundamental concepts of Quality Management System, TQM principles and perform the following tasks. (20 Marks) Task 2 : Critically discuss the role of leadership, technology, employees, and customers in managing a quality-based workplace in the selected organisation. Discussion should be very specific to the company and minimum 6 key areas / attributes must be discussed. (40 Marks) (The discussion must be justified with mapping of key attributes such as leadership, Quality control strategy and policy, Participation and Team Work, Quality Assurance System, TQM Tools, Customer Focus, Technology, Quality Control Systems or any other relevant attributes.) Task 3. Graphically illustrate a TQM model or continuous process improvement Mind Map/TQM Process Flow Chart / TQM Block Diagram or DMAIC cycle for the selected company. Each student has to do the assignment individually / Students have to do the assignment collaboratively and each student should write a brief reflection on their contribution and learnings from group work. You can refer books in E-Library or use internet resource. But you should not cut and paste material from internet nor provide photocopied material from books. The assignment answers should be in your own words after understanding the matter from the above resources. Submission Guidelines : Max. Marks: 100 1. Total words count: 2500 words (+ or -10% ). 2. The report should contain: ✓ cover page, which indicates title, names of students, name of the professor and date and place of submission (students can use provided template); ✓ table of contents; ✓ introduction, which discloses the goal of the report, indicates objectives, explains the main methods and data used for the research, briefly describes structure of the report; ✓ discussion, description of main points with proper in-text references; (Task 1 to Task 4) ✓ conclusions that reveal main findings regarding each point and challenges faced during completing the assignment; ✓ MOOC lecture discussions ✓ list of references (using Coventry Harvard style of referencing), minimum of five, mix of journals / books / related websites; ✓ appendices if needed (appendices are not included in the main report words count); 3. Upon discretion of the faculty, student may be called for the VIVA-VOCE. Failing to appear for VIVA or to respond to the questions asked during the VIVA may lead to a failing mark in the assessment.
