Academic writing- identify a problem and trace it through scholarly literatures

Based on the Research Question: “How significant does a person’s mentality influence their performance in exam
conditions?” Taking that core problem you have identified, search through academic databases (CompPil Links to an external site. in particular is recommended) to find five academic articles that answer this question. Each of these five should cite and/or be cited by at least one other article among the five. No more than two of the articles should be by the same author, and do your best to choose articles that are no more than thirty-five years old. When reading them, focus on figuring out how their conversations build off each other.

For the five articles, provide an outline of how your articles relate to each other (which author cited who? are they arguing? Agreeing with each other? What are they arguing or agreeing about?)

Then create an annotated bibliography following the précis format covered in: https://writing.wisc.edu/handbook/nonfictionanalys… , for each of the five articles chosen. Each entry should include:

• Citation information
• One sentence for what the central argument is
• One sentence for how the author develops and supports that argument
• One sentence about the author’s apparent purpose, formatted in an IN ORDER TO phrasing
• One sentence about the intended audience and the relationship the author develops with them
