After reviewing several assessments from this resource and the other resources in this unit, you will write a paper that defines and describes transition assessment and then reviews one assessment from each of the five categories of transition assessments. Your paper will include:

• A one or two paragraph introduction that defines and describes transition assessment
• 5 two-paragraph entries -one for each of the following assessment types:
  1. Comprehensive Transition Assessment
  2. Determining a Learning Style
  3. Exploring/determining career interests
  4. Exploring/determining career skills and abilities
  5. Determining functional and independent living skills
• Paragraph 1: The first paragraph of each review should include:
  • The purpose of the assessment
  • The student age and ability level for which the assessment would be appropriate
  • Complete title, cost, and publishing information
  • Description of the format of the assessment (types and number of questions, administration time, how results are determined)
• Paragraph 2: The second paragraph of each review will be your opinion regarding the value or usefulness of the assessment and how it could be incorporated into your professional practice.
