I was engaged in multiple roles presented by loss adjustment and surveying during the internship period, aimed at improving my understanding of them. Sick leaves, vacation leaves, and work leaves are among those employee leave-taking mechanisms that were my major duties. Tasks and Activities During the Training Period During my internship, I was assigned different tasks and responsibilities every month. This involved receiving leave requests from employees, verifying the supporting documents they provided, and updating their leave records accurately. Another major part of my work was accompanying the experienced surveyors on-site inspections. I got to observe how they evaluate properties, assess risks, and gather information for insurance purposes. In addition to these core tasks, I sometimes assisted with other departmental work like preparing materials for employee engagement initiatives such as wellness programs, team-building activities and employee recognition schemes aimed at boosting morale. While the workload was substantial, I recognize that it allowed me to develop vital skills.
